Ryan White Early Intervention Services
Ryan White Early Intervention Services at the Hennepin County Public Health Clinic provide health screenings for people who are HIV-positive, specifically those without health insurance and who meet financial guidelines. There are no costs for Ryan White Early Intervention Services.
What Ryan White Services are offered?
- Complete health history
- Physical examination
- Blood count testing (viral load and T-cell count)
- STD testing (Hepatitis, Syphilis, Gonorrhea and Chlamydia)
- Vaccinations
- Health, wellness, economic and emotional support referrals
Ryan White Early Intervention Services are designed to evaluate a client's general health status. It is not a primary care site and does not offer HIV medications. If blood testing or symptoms indicate the need for in-depth evaluation or medical treatment, you will be referred to a primary care provider for continued medical care.
The CAPS Program and Ryan White Early Intervention Services work together to provide both medical and social services support to those newly diagnosed with HIV.

HIV Support Group: "Positive Perspectives"
Newly Diagnosed? Looking for support?
The CAPS Program has offered and organized support groups for newly diagnosed HIV-positive individuals and those living with HIV/AIDS and who are struggling with their diagnosis and/or HIV care.
